    Abstract of Title of Annie Elizabeth Skevington. Reciting - (I) will 1841 Sept 8 of William Skevington, baker, of Bedford. Reciting - (II) mortgage 13 July 1844 to 1) Emery Cranfield, farmer of Elstow from 2) Edward Ashwell, gent of Eversholt [lender] for 350 for the purposes of the will, with a messuage on the east of St John Street, Bedford St Mary as security. Covenant by (1) that he had not encumbered. Reciting - (III) transfer of mortgage 30 December 1850 from 1) Ed. Ashwell 2) R W Skevington, farmer & baker of Bedford to 3) Wm Parley of Northampton 450 on - a) 4 messuages in Grey Friars Walk, Bedford St Paul - b) messuage on the east side of St John Street, Bedford St Mary - c) cottage and premises in Up End, Kempston near or adjoining the Quart Pot public house, occ by Sarah Taylor, Jno. Cox and Jno. Ford, and Sam. Ford, then by Widow Ford, then late by Widow Teeton then Widow Teeton. Reciting - W Skevington's wife Susannah remarried on 28 September 1842 to Wm Chapman on the day the will was proved - death of Shelton on 8 June 1843 - Wm Chapman also died since then - R W Skevington attained 21 years on 30 November 1849 - indenture 30 Dec between 1) Cranfield 2) Susannah Chapman 3) Thos Small and Robt White 4) R W Skevington, appointing (3) as new trustees of the will, and conveying to (4) the 4 messuages at Grey Friars Walk and premises in Bedford & Kempston, freehold and leasehold. Reciting - (IV) transfer of mortgage 24 April 1855 from 1) Chas. Wm. Coupland Givens, gent of 9 Baker St, Lloyd's Square, Pentonville and Wellinger Davis, gent of Northampton, & 2) R W Skevington to 3) Wm Turner, gent of Northampton, 450 on - a) 4 messuages in Grey Friars Walk, Bedford St Paul - b) messuage on the east side of St John Street, and 2 dwellinghouses and garden ground in Kempston bounded E by the common Road or Street, N by dwellinghouse some time ago sold to Jno. Ketcher & then ------, S by a close of pasture then or late belonging to Francis Green esq, and W by parts occ by Widow Keech, ---- Beard and then late by ----Keech and ----Horne. - c) cottage in Up End, Kempston near to or adjoining the Quart Pot public house occ by Sarah Taylor, Jno Cox, Jno Ford & Sam. Ford, then by Widow Ford, then or late by Widow Teedon. Reciting - mortgage 1850 - will of N Parley 6 May 1854 leaving all estates to (1) - N Parley died 20 July then last, will proved 7 Aug at PCC. Covenant by (1) that they had not encumbered. Reciting - (VIII) will 26 January 1878 of Stephen Pearson of Northampton, leaving all estates vested in him as trustee to Hy. Mobbs, ironfounder, and Wm. Mobbs, grocer, both of Northampton, and appointing wife Ann Pearson, and HM and WM, executors. Reciting - (IX) Stephen Pearson died 18 Novr 1878. Reciting - (X) his will proved 2 Jan 1879 at Northampton. Reciting - (XI) Notice 31 March 1873 of further charge of 200 between 1) R W Skevington, 2) Leverton Jessopp, gent of Bedford and 3) Robt Barry Stafford, auctioneer, of Bedford. Reciting - R W Skevington had taken proceedings under the Bankruptcy Act 1869 towards a composition with his creditors, and the majority of creditors accepted this - R B Stafford had paid L Jessop, the trustee appointed by the creditors, 165:10 - R W Skevington conveyed to R B Stafford 2 cottages at Kempston. Reciting - (XII) conveyance 26 January 1882 between 1) Henry Mobbs, William Mobbs and Ann Pearson, 2) Robert Barry Stafford, 3) R W Skevington, 4) Charlotte White, widow, of 35 Royal Road, Kensington Park and 5) Annie Elizabeth Skevington, spinster, of Bedford - a) 2 dwelling houses in Kempston. Reciting - Robt White's will 1856 devising all estates to his wife Charlotte White - R White died - Susannah Chapman died - indenture 1855 - indenture 1873 - will of Stephen Pearson, his death & proof of will - contract for sale.
