Title
Letter from George Stephen Darlow, Boreham, Essex, to his aunt Emily Beatrice Dawson.
The eve of his last working day in the army. Going to Guildford for his demob suit and release book. Hopes to get home just after his brother Mark [Henry Mark Darlow]. The only thing he will miss about the army is rations. Has saved 850, mostly when he was a prisoner in Italy. Sent several small parcels to his friends in Italy, 'they have also been paid 15,000 lire (about 38) for my lodgings (not much for 8 months in my opinion...)'.
Will see Emily at Marks wedding.
