- Admin/biog historyMr Eric Mitchell began work at George Fischer, but very soon decided that production line work was not for him and left after a few weeks. He became an engineer and remained interested in engineering. He took up photography; he was completely self-taught. In the 1990s he asked permission to take photographs at various engineering establishments in Bedford, including the last firing at George Fischer's foundry. He made some income from his photography selling door to door and in local establishments under the name 'Henry Art'. He moved away from Bedford at the end of the 1990s.
