    Draft separation deed (i) James Allen, Chase Street, Luton, carpenter (ii) Elizabeth Allen, Chase Street, wife of above but living apart from him (i) and (ii) have agreed to live apart now (i) covenants with (ii) that she may live separate from him and free from his authority and that he will not compel her to cohabit with him, or ill treat or molest her in any way or prosecute any person for receiving or assisting her also (ii) may hold for her own and separate use all such personal estate as may be bequeathed or given to her, may purchase, or save, receive by will etc. if (ii) shall predecease (i) he will permit her will to be proved by executors or letters of administration be taken out and estate distributed as though she had died intestate domiciled in England and a spinster. All real estate descending to her shall be held by (ii) as if (i) were dead. also (i) agrees to pay (ii) 2s. weekly for life and he assigns to her - household goods, furniture, effects and sewing machines in dwelling house of (ii), late (i)'s, in Chase Street, Luton, and furnace, blocking bench, tongs and other things connected with her business of straw hat and bonnet manufacturer (value £43). Also (ii) covenants, by virtue of 'The Married Women's Property Act, 1882' that she will not molest him or compel him to cohabit with her and will indemnity him against any debts or liabilities she may incur. If (i) and (ii) by mutual consent co-habit as man and wife, then agreement shall be null and void, except that household goods, furnitures, sewing machines be deemed (ii)'s separate property.
