    Indenture of Deed to declare the uses of a fine Parties (i) John Wildman of Toddington, yeoman, and his wife Mary, Joseph Stratford and his wife Sarah (as in Z 711 /1(i)) (ii) Edward Foxon of Toddington, grazier, and his wife Rebecca (iii) John Buckingham as in Z 711/1(ii) Operative Part: Covenant by (i) with (ii) and (iii) that they will on this side and before the end of Michaelmas Term next ensuing, at the proper costs and charges in law of (ii) and (iii), levy and acknowledge unto (ii) and (iii) one fine sur conuzance de droit come ceo etc of: (a) messuage or tenement with appurtenances wherein one Andrew Ashby now dwells situate in the S end of Toddington called the High Townsende (b) 2 closes of pasture ground lying near adjoining to (a), containing 2 acs and now in the tenure or occupation of AA (c) several pieces and parcels of arable land contd and 'lea' ground containing 2 acs, dispersedly lying and being in the fields, parish and precincts of Toddington (d) close of pasture ground called Lady Light Close containing 1 ac (e) 2 cottages or tenements with appurtenances in the S end of Toddington and now in the tenure or occupation of William Smith and Robert Spufford (f) messuage or tenement with appurtenances as in Z 711/1(a) '... and of all buildings, yards, orchards, gardens, and backsides to the same premises belonging ...'... which fine shall be levied with proclamations and passed by the name(s) of 2 messuages, 2 cottages, 3 gardens, 4 acres of land, 3 acs of meadow, and 4 acs of pasture with appurtenances in Toddington. Covenant and agreement between the parties that the fine shall be and inure to the several uses limited, expressed, appointed and declared ie (a), (b), (c), (d), now in the tenure or occupation of Andrew Ashby, and (e), to (ii) and the longer liver of them, their heirs and assigns for ever; and (f) to (iii) in fee simple Endorsements: Sealing and delivery by JS, SS and JB in presence of Thomas Leach, Francis White the elder, and Daniel Marshe; and by JW/MW in the presence of George Sam and Francis Marshe.Inscribed 'No. 2'.
