  • Title
Letter from W Grant, Lichborough, Weedon, to John Randall, Esq. Has perused draft release. Was not aware of new arrangement of 8 September 1843 being by indenture nor does he see why P J Bassett was party to endorsement of 18 September 1843 on partnership deed of new firm. Has not recited means of getting in the £450 - the profits for 4$(SO161) months of current year. Release at end of deed is intended to be sufficient indemnity. Should there not be a similar indemnity in Release by John Grant's executors ie treated according to clause 23 of partnership deed? Would be glad to have Mr Palmer's opinion on the point. Perhaps intended that continuing partners should given Bond of Indemnity. Returns both Releases and suggests that one for Mr Grant's executors be sent to Abraham Darby, The Court, near Slough. Wants the business settled without further delay as is 3 months since John Grant's death.
