Title
Agreement by John Dollin Bassett, John Grant and Peter John Bassett, bankers, to admit Francis Bassett, son of J D Bassett into partnership with them on the 1st of the 1st month of 1842 on following terms:-
That on Francis Bassett devoting his time and attention to advancing interests of the bank, he together with brother Peter John Bassett, shall be entitled, in equal moieties, to 1/3rd share of profits and losses of said business, in same manner as J D Bassett is now entitled to. This is instead of PJB having 1/4 share to himself, as at present.
PJB and FB will advance £2500 as their joint share of 1/3rd of the capital.
They will have one voice only in respect to their share, with understanding that the general management of the business is to be as it has been for many years past, more especially under control of other bankers.
