HUXTABLE, Sidney Edwin b. South Molton, Devon 12 Feb 1905: d. Carshalton, Surrey, 25 June 1990. Eldest son of Edwin Huxtable (1861-1915) and Hester Cole (1868-1940). Educ: West Buckland School (1918-22) and St Lukes's College, Exeter (1922-24). Main teaching post: Warwick JM (later Churchill Gardens Primary) School, Westminster 1932-68). Other qualification: Diploma in English Language and Literature (King's College, London 1932). m. Ethel Frances Woodcock 1934, 1son, Andrew (b. 1938). Main interests: Art (Exhibitor Royal Academy 1958-66, RBA Art Club, Hesketh Hubbard Art Society, Campden Hill Club, St James's Art Society), reading Art History, Travel.
