Title
Internal Drainage Board. Internal Drainage Boards were set up under Section 24 of the Land Drainage Act 1930. They were abolished under the local government reforms of the 1970s. The County Record Office kept samples as close to the census year of `1 as possible. Parishes may occur under more than one Drainage Board. This is explained by the fact that different parts of the parish were in different river catchment areas.
