- Admin/biog historyThe Bedfordshire L.T.A. was formed on 28th March 1923 when the representatives of five local clubs met at Dynevor Lodge, Bedford. The clubs were Bedford and County L.T.C., Riverside L.T.C., Bedford, South Beds. L.T.C., North Beds. L.T.C. and Luton Town. Bedfordshire L.T.A. was created to uphold the laws of the game, to arrange County Championships and other competitions and "to regulate, organise and control the game in the County and generally advance the interests thereof". The Bedfordshire Association was affiliated to the national body of the L.T.A. on 14th May 1923. A history of Bedfordshire L.T.A.. was prepared by Joe Pinnock in November 1998 and a copy is in this archive (X 874/4/1). The early records of the Association have not survived: the Handbooks only commence in 1934 (although they may have only started then) and the minutes in 1937.
