    Lease forming part of Conveyance [for the other parts see X 876/1/1 and X 878/1] by Indentures of Lease and Release from John Harding of St.Giles-in-the-Fields, Middlesex, tiresmith, son and heir of Oliver Harding deceased late of Westminster, gentleman and Susanna Harding widow relict of Oliver Harding, to Francis Brace the elder of Bedford, gentleman, of: (a) a cottage or tenement formerly called The Dragon with the yard, orchard and garden, formerly in the occupation of James Dennis and now of John Palmer, situated in parish of St.Paul and "Alhollows" in Bedford; abutting: to N on the highway from the lime kilns towards the water conduit; to E on a close called Chappell Close. (b) a close of pasture adjoining The Dragon containing about 1.5 acres; formerly in the occupation of Richard Crofts and now of John Smith alias Lyant; abutting to E The Dragon; to W on a close lately of John Risely, gentleman and now of Sir John Mordaunt, Bart.; to N on the highway from the lime kilns; to S on a close called Hassetts Close alias Moory Close owned by Francis Brace. Lease to take effect from the Feast of the Annunciation of Blessed Virgin Mary last past [25 Mar 1709].
