Transfer of Mortgage from Edith Maggie Benson of 21 Warwick Road, Cliftonville, Margate in Kent, widow, and Charles Taylor of 10 New Broad Street, London, solicitor, acting as mortgagees/transferors, and JW, JHSW and FCW of Wellington St., Luton as in /14, acting as mortgagors, to Benjamin Bennett, esquire, of Kensworth House near Dunstable, to secure £4000 with interest at the rate of £4.5% per annum, certain pieces of land with three shops or warehouses and other buildings known as 21, 23 and 25 Wellington Street mortgaged - in a document to which this is supplemental - on 19 Dec 1906 by the mortgagors to Michael Benson of 3 Hay Hill, Berkeley Sq., Middx., gent. (who, it is recited, died on 3 March 1907 having by his will of 1 March 1907 appointed the transferors as his executors who proved the same in the Principal Probate Registry on 27 Mar 1907). Witnesses include Adelaide R. Allen of 2 Crawford Gardens, Cliftonville, Margate, Kent, domestic servant. Endorsed with memorandum that on 28 Oct 1911 the mortgagors paid to the executors of Benjamin Bennett the sum of £500, part of the £4000 principal due.
