Thomas Pateman, Shefford, collar-maker. By l. to use of 2. consid. annual rent and covenants mentioned, for 9 years from the feast of the Annunciation of the blessed virgin Mary next ensuing. - messuage or tenement with apps. known as the Red Lion Inn at Shefford now occupied by 2. his assigns or under-tenants, with all houses and outhouses etc. Rent _6 annually, payable in two equal amounts on the feast of St. Michael the Archangel and the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the place of payment to be John Norris's dwelling house in Shefford. In default of payment of rent 40 days after the feast days l. or assignes to repossess premises. 2. to pay all town taxes and parish duties in respect of property and l. to pay all extraordinary and Parliamentary taxes. 2. to carry out all necessary repairs to premises and yield up the same to l. on expiraton or sooner determination of said term, except casualty of fire and great winds only excepted. 2. to enjoy premises without hindrance from l. or others.
