    Eaton Bray village groups "Bread Distribution October 11th". Large crown of women and children standing outside the old National School. [V.C.H. p375 Vol III. "A customary allowance of one quarter of wheat and the same quantity of barley and beans was formerly received from Trinity College, Cambridge, in whom the great tithes were vested, ascribed to the bounty of the family of Bray, as to which no documents are extant.
