Local Taxation Licences Committee. This committee was created on 24 Feb 1922 to carry out the duties referred to in the following resolutions: 1. That the powers and duties of the County Council under Finance Act 1908, Section 6, Local Government Act 1888 Section 20 and under any acts amending the same and any orders in Council or Regulations made thereunder, in levying the duties on local taxation licences, namely. licences to deal in game, licences for dogs, killing game, guns, carriages, armorial bearings and male servants be, and the same are hereby delegated to the Local Taxation Licences Committee 2. That the powers and duties of the County Council under the Finance Act 1920, the Customs and Inland Revenue Act 1888 and the Roads Act 1920 (with the exception of those under Section 7 (4) of the Roads Act 1920) and under any Orders in Council or Regulations made thereunder, including the powers duties and liabilities of the Commissioners of Customs and Excise now vested in the County Council thereunder be and the same are hereby delegated to the Local Taxation Licences Committee.
