    Lease and release.( Lease X811/52) i) John Firth Cooper, Leighton Buzzard, gentleman (eldest son and heir at law of the late Mary Ann Cooper, late wife of John Cooper, deceased, Leighton Buzzard, gentleman) ii) John Osborn, Leighton Buzzard, merchant (executor of Robert Salmon, Woburn, Esq.) reciting the above lease and release Robert Salmon died on 9 December 1821 [written in pencil] having made his will dated 25 September 1821 by which he appointed ii) and Joseph Briers, of Shenley, Herts, his executors.They proved the will in the PCC Joseph Briers died in 1825 [written in the margin in pencil]. reciting also the deaths of Leah Firth and John and Mary Ann Cooper Principal sum of £250 is still due and owing and also £225 for arrears of interest (total £475) due from i) to ii) Shortly previous to death of M A Cooper, i.e. in Trinity term last past ii) filed a Bill in Chancery against MA Cooper for a foreclosure of the equity of redemption in respect of said mortgage securities ii) has agreed to pay costs and expenses of i) in the before mentioned suit etc - total £14 and to accept a conveyance of the equity of redemption in full discharge of all principal and interest Now in consideration of the money due and the said £14 paid by ii) to i) i) releases to ii) (in his actual possession by virtue of a lease for a year) - moiety of --- messuage as in said mortgage --- equity of redemption to use of ii) for ever signature of i) endorsed receipt witnesses David Lee Willis Jno Goodman, his clerk.
