She bequeathed all the residue of her real estate to them as tenants in common charged with payment to nephew, Charles Waldegrave Battely, then resident in New Zealand, at expiration of 5 years after her decease,of 7s per week for life

Now in consideration of £500 paid in equal moieties to i) and ii) by iii), and interest at £4 10s % p.a.
i) and ii) convey to iii)
- 70 and 72, High Street, Bedford, now in occupations of the executors of E Rawlins and of J W Maxwell (as in plan on deed of 24 December 1868)
to secure repayment of said £500 and interest i) and ii) covenant to pay said 7s per week to C W Battely when due
