Assignment of mortgage i) Robert Palgrave, Bedford, druggist Thomas Wakefield, Crowthorn, Lincs., innholder (trustee for Robert Palgrave) ii) The Rev. William Coles, Ampthill, dissenting minister iii) Joseph Margetts Peirson, Hitchin, Herts.,gentleman reciting that £500 is still owing to ii) Robert Palgrave has requested iii) to pay off said £500 to ii) and to take an assignment of the premises as security for repayment of said sum and interest at £4. 10s % p.a. Now in consideration of £500 paid to ii) by iii) at request of Robert Palgrave ii) at request of i) assign to iii) - messuage late in occupation of Edward Stockdale - little piece of garden ground - other messuage or dwelling house now divided into 3 said £500 is same sum as is mentioned in bond of even date to hold for remainder of said term when repaid demise of 10 January 1786 shall cease and become void premises to be insured in joint names of Robert Palgrave and iii) for sum of £500 signatures of i) and ii) endorsed receipt witnesses John Palgrave; Wm Whitworth; Eliz Coles.
