    Assignment of mortgage i)John Fewkes, Bedford, draper ii) Thomas Hipwell, Pavenham ,matmaker iii) the Rev William Coles, Ampthill, dissenting minister £150 advanced by iii) was not paid at time appointed but still remains due whereby estate of iii) becomes absolute in law, but interest has been paid to date reciting above lease and release i) has applied to iii) to lend him £200 to pay off principal sum due to Thomas Hipwell, in addition to £150 still due (total - £350). Is agreed that said sum shall be chargeable on whole of undermentioned premises Now in consideration of £200 paid to ii) by iii) at request of i) and also in consideration of 5s paid to i) by iii) i) and ii) transfer to iii) - said indenture of demise of 26 August 1785 [X 803/24] - said messuage once in occupation of Edward Stockdale and now of John Savill, in Bedford High Street - little piece of ground belonging to be held for residue of term of 1000 years to secure repayment of £350 and interest at £4 10s per cent p.a. Said £150 is same sum as is secured by a Bond of even date Buildings to be insured in joint names of i) and iii) in £500 signatures of all endorsed receipt witnesses Theed Pearse of Bedford; Wm Stevens, London.
