    Assignment and Confirmation of mortgage i)Abraham Patston, Bedford, basket maker, and wife Rebecca; Elizabeth Williamson, Bedford, widow (said Rebecca and Elizabeth are executrixes of the will of Elizabeth Benson, late of Bedford, deceased) ii) John Savill, Bedford, draper, and wife Sarah iii) Thomas Hipwell, Pavenham, matmaker reciting mortgage of 26 August 1785 [X 803/24] and fine [X 803/25] £200 principal was not paid at time appointed whereby estate of Elizabeth Benson became absolute in law for remainder of said term Elizabeth Benson is since dead. By her will she appointed Rebecca Patston and Elizabeth Williamson as executrixes. Will proved (PCC). Said £200 is still unpaid but all interest has been paid to date As i) require the said sum to be repaid to them, iii) has agreed to lend same amount to ii) upon having mortgaged estates assigned to him now in consideration of £200 paid to i) by iii) i) at direction of ii) assign to iii) - said messuage and term of years etc for remainder of said term of 1000 years to secure repayment of said £200 and interest at 5% p.a. John Savill will insure premises in name of iii) against fire in sum of £300 signatures of all endorsed receipt witnesses Rich Lovesey; George Thorpe.
