  • Title
Case in same suit as X254/22 Sim. Taylor sr. (w. Joan) was seised of several freehold and copyhold lands in Woburn. On the 1st marriage of his s. Sim. jr., he settled on him a house in Woburn and land in Ridgmont; the 1st wife died, leaving a s. Sim. inft.; On the 2nd marriage of Sim. jr., to Diana Gregory in 1713, there was another settlement (trustees Thos. Head & Amb. Reddall); Diana's portion was to be £700, and this was to be laid out with £300 from Sim. jr. in lands to be settled on Diana and their heirs. Neither sum was paid to trustees, though Sim. bought an estate in Cardington and Wilstead for £1,340. Sim. Taylor jr. by his will 1732 left his dau. Cath. only a copyhold messuage in Woburn. Counsel's opinion (T. Bootle) is that Cath. Taylor should bring a bill in Equity.
