    Charge from Charles Longuet Higgins of Turvey Abbey, esquire and John Dunkley of Turvey, farmer, as churchwardens, (i) with the consent of the Bishop of Ely and the Reverend William Breighton Russell rector of Turvey, to Talbot Barnard, Thomas Barnard and Thomas Twining Wing of Bedford, bankers upon the Church Rates of Turvey to secure £400 and interest for the repair of the church. Witnesses: Walter Snow, clerk to John Garrard , solicitor, Olney John Garrard, solicitor, Olney Harrold G.C. Brown of Emmanuel College, Cambridge Enclosed: - Promissory note dated 11 Aug 1864 from (i) to (ii); note on dorse of interest paid p.a. from 1865-1874. - Memorandum dated 13 Aug 1864 from (ii) as confirmation of advance of £400 to (i) - Letter dated 24 Aug 1874 from (ii) to C.L. Higgins re the payment of the final instalment of the Turvey Church loan. Endorsed: - 'Received the eleventh day of August 1874 all Principal and interest secured by this deed'
