Title
Deed of Covenant between the Right Honourable Charles Henry Earl of Peterborough and Monmouth (i), and Charles Higgins of the parish of St. Stephen, Coleman Street, London (ii), for the production of scheduled title deeds in accordance with the provisions of a deed of lease and release and bargain and sale dated 27 and 28 Apr 1787 made between (i), (ii) and Edward Baber for the conveyance of Turvey Manor and land lying in Carlton parish, [for attested copies see HI 21-22]. Scheduled deeds including:
- Indentures of Lease and Release dated 13 and 14 Mar 1731 between (i) and Thomas Gibson and John Jacob
- Indentures of Lease and Release dated 19 and 20 Jun 1783 between the Right Reverend John, Lord Bishop of St. Asaph , Anna Maria his wife and Dame Elizabeth Milner, widow and relict of the late Sir William Milner, the Committee of the Person and Estate of Margaret Mordaunt, spinster and lunatic, only sister and heir at law of Sir John Mordaunt and the said Margaret Mordaunt (i), the Right Honourable Charles Henry Earl of Peterborough and Monmouth (ii) and Bateman Robson (iii), whereby (i) did present and confirm unto (iii) the manor of Turvey. - Indenture [of Conveyance] dated 13 Apr 1787 enrolled in the Court of Common pleas between the Right Honourable Robiniana, Countess Dowager of Peterborough and (i) 'purporting to be a Bargain and Sale of' the manor of Turvey'.
