    1829. 16 August. `Have been to night by the Death bed of an acquaintance..' 13 September. `Heard a funeral for a very dear friend, a Deacon of our church..' who died in the prime of life leaving a young family 1830. 24 January `Have been hearing a funeral discourse.... for one of the first members of this church whose house was opened about 24 years back for prayer... which led to the building of Chapel..' Her husband died shortly afterwards and she herself was afflicted with a mental disease 1831. 6 March. Has witnessed the death of a paralytic acquaintenace 1832 April. Went to see a very dear friend Ed Smith `and found him in dying circumstances..'
