Memorandum of agreement between the Hon. Pearl Lawson Johnston and William H F Brunskill, Esq (the Masters) and the Committee of the Oakley Hunt, upon which the former accept the Mastership of the Oakley Hunt for season 1939/1940
1) Masters agree to hunt the Oakley Country 3 days a week. Whole of Country to be hunted equally and fairly
2) Subject to maximum payment of £800 Masters accept all liability except claims in respect of loss of poultry by foxes, for finds, litters and earth stopping, repairs and rates. Masters to pay licences of hounds and insurances of staff
3) Committee to pay Masters £2500 p.a.
Miss Lawson Johnston to pay towards Masters' funds £500 and another £300 if necessary pound for pound with the Committee
4) Masters accept Minutes of the Committee of 26 January with regard to the breeding of hounds
At expiry of Mastership to hand over a pack of at least 45 couple of sound foxhounds (10 couple being dog hounds)
