Memorandum on arrangements for 1836 Tavistock is standing in Dansey's place for the remainder of his term. The kennels have been built on freehold land at Milton and conveyed to Tavistock, Lord Ludlow, Magniac & Praed as trustees; these four each lent £300 for site and building; Sam. Whitbread has "undertaken to pay these 4 gentlemen interest at the rate of 4% out of the fund of the Oakley Club until the principal of £1,200 should be paid off." Funds were also found by 5 (six) gentlemen (Tavistock, Ludlow, Lord Chas. Russell, Hoare, Praed & Magniac) for buying the hounds from Dansey for £525. They also advanced £100 each to buy horses; but Tavistock was to repay this, and if he gave up the management the horses would be his, deducting 10% for wear and tear. Harness was bought by Tavistock. He took the hounds with a sub. of £1,200 p.a.
