Becke, Phipps & Co., of 7/8 The Parade, Market Square, Northampton, NN1 2EG relating to 9 & 11 North Street, Leighton Buzzard, Beds… 'In consideration of Baxters (Butchers) limited carrying out the works shown on the attached plan dated the 29th Feb 1972 (See Z1149/28), I confirm that Baxters are released from the obligations contained in Clause 3 of a deed of exchange dated the 30th Jul 1971 (see Z1149/27) except in so far as Baxters shall be required to maintain the wall now to be erected on the land shown coloured red on the plan annexed to the deed of exchange. I undertake for myself and successors in title to execute a formal deed of release and variation incorporating the terms of this letter at Baxters (Butchers) Limited's expense if called upon to do so and the same time to obtain the consent of any mortgage to such deed if necessary'.
