    Typed copy of Principal Partnership Deed 1) William Hipwell of Sharnbrook, Miller and Corn Merchant 2) Thomas Collier Hipwell of Bedford, Miller and Corn Merchant agree to carry on business of Millers and Corn Merchants now carried on by them in partnership Partnership deemed starting date 1 May 1896 to be called Hipwell & Son and business be carried on at Stoke Mills, Sharnbrook and 5 Mill Street, Bedford and Ditchford, Northants Clause 3) Capital shown on Balance Sheet prepared by Roberts & Baker 30 April 1896 and belongs to partners in shares stated in the last yearly statement in the Private Ledger of the Partners 4) Interest allowed at 5% pa to partners before distribution of profits 5) Profit and Lossess between partners in equal shares after 4) 6) 30 April each year - balance sheet to be prepared and audited 7&8) Neither partner to use partnership, money or name except on account of partnership business not become surety or bail for anyone without written consent of the other nor lend money to anyone the other partner forbidden them to 9) On ending of partnership (apart from death) a general valuation shall be made; debts paid off, capital repaid and surplus distributed to par (pencil note revoked 1926) 10) Option of remaining partner to purchase share of retiring partner.
