Henry Lynham was born on 6th January 1895 at 50 Queen Street, Bedford. He was in the employment of William Course & Son, motor engineers of 4 Hassett Street & 9 Thurlow Street, Bedford working as an office clerk prior to being called up for military service. During the Great War Henry served as private in the Motor Transport Company of the Royal Army Service Corps and was transferred back to the reserves late1919. He married Dora Elizabeth Green of Bedford on the 30th November 1920 at St.Paul's, Bedford and lived at 9 Thurlow Street where the William Course & Son offices and works were situated (See photograph). Around the mid 1950's, Mr and Mrs Lynham moved to Maitland Street in Bedford; Henry died on 24th Mar 1982 at General Hospital Bedford and Dora died on the 3rd July 1988 at Fairacres, Queen Street, Northamptonshire.
