X171/25-27
Title
Legal notebooks, having formerly been part of the Pym family's library at Hasells Hall, Sandy, and possibly compiled by an earlier member of the family
3 vols; Over 400 pp 14 x 9. Bound vellum
All apparently in the same hand, but on a more systematic plan than DDX171/24; each page having a subject heading, but these subjects being in alphabetical order; a large part of the page left blank, apparently with the intention of adding further notes; and (except for the last section of DDX171/27) apparently compiled at one time.
DDX171/25 Action - Detinue [At beginning: April 21, 1684.]
DDX171/26 Disseisin - Prerogative.
DDX171/27 Prerogative contd - waste 1670-1700 The remaining section of this volume had headings such as Pleader (indexed at end) and Covenant, and were partly filled in, and pp. 1-72 numbered; but on this original plan was afterwards superimposed a formulary of deeds at intervals where space allowed (pp. 8-17, 40 pp. after p. 72, and another 14 pp. later). Personal and place names are not usually given fully, except for London; they afford little clue to the identity of the compiler; their date, where given, is c. 1690
