She saw the last chimney to be demolished when it happened. The explosion was frightening. She learned to swim when she holidayed in Minorca. She wishes that they still had a swimming pool in the village (the earlier one was closed own and demolished). She now goes swimming at the Oasis (water leisure centre) or Robinson's Swimming Pool, both in Bedford. Prince Philip (husband of Queen Elizabeth II) was presented with a dinosaur fossil when he visited the Stewartby brickworks in 1963.
