Plans for the club house in Millbrook Road were submitted to Bedford Borough Council in 1906-7 (Ref: Bor BP 4727) and the premises were connected to the main drain on 23 January 1907. The Club opened in March 1907 (see Beds Times of 8 March), but unfortunately runs of minute books only exist for 1919-1938, 1948-1960, 1968-1971 and 1976-1979 and membership registers for 1924-1927 and 1943-1948. The Archives Service received these records shortly before the Club closed on 31 January 2004; the site is to be sold and redeveloped for housing.
