Office copy of the will of John Boddington (carpenter), Carlton. Proved 13 December 1800. He appoints William Steff and William Kidd as joint executors. He bequeaths one shilling a piece to his wife Sarah, his son Thomas and his daughters Mary Wooden and Ann Ayres. The remainder of his estate is to be placed in trust and sold. In order to facilitate the sale, the receipts of the executors are to be sufficient release, and discharged without the purchaser being obliged to see to the application. Any surplus money is to be given for the support of his wife, until her death or re-marriage. After his wife's decease or marriage, half of any surplus money is bequeathed to his son Thomas and the remaining half to be divided amongst his daughters, Mary and Ann.
