- to wife Mary messuages and lands at Pepperstock, Flamstead [Hertfordshire] bought of George How; then to nephew Joseph Pain, son of his late sister Mary; charged with £200 to nephew John Pain (brother of Joseph) if he returned from sea within 7 years from testator's decease, if not £100 to nephew William Everitt and £100 to nephew John Everitt, sons of late brother Samuel;
- to wife Mary for life messuage in Luton wherein testator dwelt, then to nephew William, son of brother William;
- to his brother William £25;
- to nephew John, son of Samuel Everitt £100 (apart from conditional legacy above);
- to trustees £40 for investment on behalf of the minister of the Baptist Congregation of Protestant Dissenters in Luton (John Sutton of Market Street, Caddington; James Gutteridge of Eaton Green, Luton; William Barnet of Hexton [Hertfordshire]; Richard Gutteridge of Dunstable; James Gutteridge of Cockernhoe, Offley [Hertfordshire]);
- on wife's death goods to be sold for benefit of children of late brother Samuel Everitt, of late nephew Samuel Everitt and late niece Elizabeth Arnold (children of his late brother Samuel); and for niece Elizabeth pain, daughter of late sister Mary and wife's nephew's William and John Watkins;
