    Exchange of Tithes (i) George Barbor alias Grigge of Houghton Regis, yeoman; Richard Barbor alias Grigge of Streatley, son and heir of George; (ii) Luke Norton of Offley [Hertfordshire], esquire and Lettice, his wife; Gravely Norton, son and heir of Luke and Lettice Reciting: - letters patent of Henry VIII of 24 Sep 1544 granting rectory and tithes of Streatley to Thomas Norton, gentleman, father of Luke; - conveyance of 9 Sep 1606 from (1) Robert Norton, gentleman, William Norton, clerk and Walter Norton, gentleman to (2) George and Richard Barbor alias Grigge of rectory and tithes of Streatley; - (ii) granted tithes of Cockernhoe, Offley to (i); - (i) granted reversion, after death of Alice Norton, widow, of tithes of Streatley Rectory in Sharpenhoe hamlet and any place beneath the hills and on lands above hills of which William Norton, Richard Alwey and Robert Norton received tithes and on all arable in occupation of Luke Norton or late Robert Norton or William Same of Offley, yeoman containing 86 acres of common field arable above the hills (tithes of wood, grass and hay excepted) Charges: - 1/3 of 20/8 (i.e. 6/11) per annum to Crown; - 1/3 of 8/- (i.e. 2/8) per annum to Crown for receipts of homage; - 1/3 of 8/- per annum to Archdeacon of Bedford for procurations; - 1/3 of 18d (i.e. 6d) to Bishop of Lincoln for procurations at every visitation; - 1/3 of annual pension of £4/13/4 (i.e. £1/11/1½) to Vicar of Streatley George Barbor alias Grigge to pay remaining 2/3 Quotes lease made by George Barbor to Francis Taverner on 27 Apr 1612
