    The Award of Richard Broke, Serjeant at law and William Gascoign, esq. arbitrators chosen to settle disputes be- tween James Batton, of Ampthill yeoman of the Crown and John Ridley of Torpurley, that J. Bulton shall occupy the office of Bailliwick of the manors of Torpurley (Tarporley) Russheton (Rushton) and Ayton (Eaton) Co. Chest. with the assent of Giles Capell, esq., and Mary his wife, the owners, with the moiety of Haffendale of the fee of 1111 1i. granted to the said James by Richard, Earl of Kent, and that the said J. Ridley shall have the other moiety of Halfendale, and the farms, leases, etc. parcel of the said Manors as granted to him by the same Earl of by Hugh Denys, esq. etc. Dated 28 Nov. 4 Hen. VIII (1512).
