Grant by Joan Conquest of Bedford Houghton al. Houghton
Conquest, widow of Edmund Conquest, in consideration of
the payment of 170 to her, to Henry Grey, of Wrest in the
parish of Flytton, Knt. of the manor of Sylsho al. Sylso
al. Norwood, with ten messuages, three cottages, etc. 120
acres of land, 20 acres of meadow 40 acres of pasture and
50 shillingsworth of rent in Sylso, Flytton, Maldon,
Polloxhill, Yon, Ampthill and Barton on claye, Co. Bedf.
formerly called Warrens, which manor etc. the said Joan
had by feoffment of Thomas Palmer of Wygnton, Co. Hertf.
gent. by charter dated 6 Feb. 4 Edw. VII. (1550) [see LJeayes174]. With
power of attorney to Edmund Conquest her son and heir
apparent and Robert Nudegate, gent. to enter in her name
and deliver seisin to the said Henry Grey.
