E H Strange to mother 12 Apr 1883 Stroud, Gloucestershire Dear Mother, Miss Ruegg told me to write a letter to you and I do not [know] what to say to you. Wilfred had a good cry after you had all gone and made me think he was a young bull and then he left off and whenever we talk of it he pretends to laugh. We received your letter this morning. Wilfred and I got into Papa's bed this morning at 25 to 7. And had some fun. Give my love to Grandpa. And lots to yourself. I remain your loving son E H Strange
