Ann May Strange to Samuel May Strange 30 Sept 1860 Ackworth 9th mo 1860 Dear Sam, I do not think I have written to thee since we came back but I did not know thy direction till today & also I have not much time for writing now for we have to spend nearly all the time we have out of school over our lessons. I must not expect to hear from thee for some time I suppose but I should be very glad to hear when thou can spare time to write. How does thee like Saffron Walden? I hope thou will not be turned off when Oswald goes back; has thou any idea what thou shall do if thou art? We have left off going to the bath now but the boys have not quite. The field on the other side of the canal is now flooded in consequence of the heavy rains. I must now conclude with dearest love from both I remain Thy affectionate sister, Annie.
