    Ann May to Priscilla May 21 May 1825 Bishopsgate 5th Mo 21st Dearest P. The hour of my taking the pen is not "past eleven" but before eight (there's for thee) having just come over from lodging at the White Hart as it was so much more convenient to thy father to be spared the ride to & from T - He brought Caroline & me up to meeting yesterday she went home to the babe - Edward brought her to meeting at four in the afternoon which she told me she would not have missed for a great deal it was such a solemn & constructive one favored with the ministry of E.Dudley Ann Tweedy E Fry &c. &c.- we all met at tea at Cornhill but who shall I name - Sister T. & Francis [Tuckett] who came on 3rd day Edward & Caroline &c. H. [Henry] Tuckett too & Emma lodges is there is looking remarkably well is expecting her parents tomorrow with Mary & Jane the former going into Essex perhaps we may ask the latter to visit thee. M.A.Buckmaster enquired after thee yesterday as did others I do not yet hear whether Catharine B. is come. Thy Uncle C. [Curtis] &c. have lodgings at the Green Dragon J.& E.Sharples are settled at the White Hart - yesterday in the crowd I chatted with L.Beck with Nancy Marsh with Maria Tothill &c.- we left a party of the Reynolds's at Cornhill last evening. Took a little walk heard Cathie Mason, Thos Smart's sister is wishing to see me but I should say that Jane Oxley call'd yesterday to see S.Holmes jun. & that Stanley P. & his son Tho' also Ann [Conning] dined here with us - But now how unimportant all this is to the great concerns upon which we are called together I should say the meeting opened with great solemnity Anna Price spoke first then S.Grubb in supplication an epistle from Philadelphia was read & the usual business proceeded the Meetings are considered full for this early period how I long for thee & all dear to me to share in the benefit.- almost Meeting time. as J.P.W.[John Wise] gave the last report of your health - all well I hope it includes our little R.C.[a name for Lewis?] but do let me hear of him & all of you again as soon as thou can'st Thanks for thy note Sarah H.[Holmes] expects thee to write first. Thy F. has peeped in at the door just before going to the [?] Meeting to say that J.P.W. should know that Findlay will send the leather tomorrow Jane has not received the frocks tho' Arthur & George have been visible this way. Edward Gripper & George Payne were amongst our dinner guests here yesterday - J Hooper more languid they have had the comfort of a visit from Ann Tweedy at Kennington. {?} two brothers have called here - In haste with much love to all A.M.
