    Indenture, 1 August 1637. Whereas William hath paid to John Lybyat senr. of Turvey four pounds four shillings for the debt of Thomas, Thomas and Jane demise to him a pightle of one acre in Carlton Bridge end in [?] Horscroft, bounded by the lands of William Woolton, Mr Wells, and the Earle of Peterburgh, for seven years at a rent of one peppercorn. Witnesses: Robert Harper, senr., Susanna Harper, Thomas West. Marks of Thomas and Jane Dickenson. One Seal remains. Endorsed 23 February, 1638: assignment by William Bitheray to William Wootton of Carlton carpenter of Lease in consideration of seven pounds vis. viiid. Witness Robert Harper.
