Franklin, of Marston, farmer. -- A close at Caulcut, Marston Moretaine, of which the churchwardens and overseers for the time being are seised by virtue of their office; commonly called the Widows' Land; for which no documents can now be found to show in what way the land was originally left; but the profits have been applied for the benefit of widows and poor women; and which has for some years back been in the occ. of Wm. Franklin; with all the buildings and improvements now on it; cont. 5.ac.2 r. 25 p. and sit. on the Upper Shelton road, next the lands of Rev. John Allington and others.
