Parsons of St.Albans [Hertfordshire]
The family owned public houses in Sandridge [Hertfordshire and St.Albans in 1765 but were not styled brewers until Henry Parsons in 1832. The brewery was in St.Peter's Street, St.Albans with maltings in Holywell Hill. Henry died in 1870 and was succeeded by his younger son Francis who died in 1885 when the brewery was sold at auction to Adey & White [see WB/AW], though the Parsons family retained fourteen public houses, leased to Adey & White
