The first deposit was made in 1976, leaving gaps for the missing plans. Subsequent additions were made in 1983.
POST 1948 PLANS FOR THE OLD BEDFORD BOROUGH, BEDFORD RURAL DISTRICT, AND KEMPSTON URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL PLANNING DEPARTMENTS
Plans from 1949 onwards have been microfilmed, and the full microfilm is held by Bedford Borough Council
The plans (once microfilmed) were sent on to this Record Office for samples to be selected for ultimate preservation, and for the remainder to be destroyed.
