iv) John Cook, younger, Houghton Regis, farmer reciting will of Francis, Duke of Bedford, dated 7 May 1861) by which he disposed of all his freehold property to Thomas Henry, Baron Foley (since deceased) and i) on trusts to accumulate out of the rents for 21 years, the annual sum therein mentioned. Subject thereto the trustees should hold, premises on trusts in favour of his son, William, Marquis of Tavistock, afterwards 8th Duke of Bedford, for life, and his issue, with remainder to Francis Charles Hastings Russell, ii), the now Duke of Bedford. Power given for sale of any of the property.
He died on 14 May 1861. Will proved (PPR) on 31 July 1861.
He was succeeded by his son, William, Marquis of Tavistock, who died on 26 May 1872, without issue, and was succeeded in the title of Duke of Bedford, by ii)

by which d) was appointed trustee in place of c) i) have agreed to sell undermentioned premises to iii), and for satisfaction of iv), ii) has agreed to join in making this deed for purpose of testifying his consent and conveying the title now in consideration. Also iii) has requested that premises shall be conveyed to iv)
now in consideration of - [note in margin 'The value of the timber must be added to the consideration..'] paid to i) by iv) with privity of ii)
