    Stockwood High was created in 1967 on the amalgamation of Stockwood Boys’ High School and Stockwood Girls’ High School. (The Girls’ School had been founded in 1964 on the amalgamation of Hitchin Road Girls’ CSM and Chapel Langley Girls’ CSM. See entries under these schools for relevant records). Stockwood High School in turn amalgamated with Rotheram High School (which see) in 1988 to form South Luton High (for which no records are currently held at BLARS). Luton South High School became Barnfield South Academy, Luton, on 1 September 2007
