Letter: Rev. Hugh Smyth, Worthing, to Hump. Brandreth. He will
not return for meeting of trustees on 30th, as he is endeavouring
to accomplish complete recovery. In any case it would be useless
as his views are entirely different from Brandreth's and therefore
from the rest of the trustees ' who are more or less under your
influence '. He asks that his views be entered in the minutes
that Mr. Cumberland's claims are just and should be considered.
