  • Title
Letter: same to same, asking for some statement of the reasons for Mr. Taylor's appointment in order to pacify the Lesley family. 'On the death of Mr. Lesley Lord Ossory immediately appointed a Mr. Green general Clerk to the Lieutenancy. Two other Clerkships I know are promised and I shall be very much surprised if Mr. Wm. Lesley succeeds his late Father in any one of his numerous situations, a pretty clear proof of the general opinion of the Gentleman in the Neighbourhood' with draft of reply.
