The depositor's parents, Joseph Carruthers and Mary Morton, met in Leighton Buzzard in the 1930s and taught at Cedars School. They probably taught Eileen Croxford there and remained friendly with her after school. Joseph Carruthers was head of the Friends School, Wigton [Cumberland] from 1946 until the 1950s. Eileen later married painist David Parkhouse
