    Copies of letters "To the Believers in Joanna Southcott, London, England" from believers in Illinois, USA, requesting copies of her books; the letters are from: - F.G.Ryan - two letters, one requesting books, the other regarding his faith: "I was told by the spirit to tell the news first to a woman" - 1847-1848; - William H.Green, mentioning that F.G.Ryan was regarded as crazy; nineteen people had become "the woman's conquering seed" - 29 [Jan?] 1849; - Marcia Tucker, to Mr.Haggar, giving a rough sketch of her life; she was a Campbellite for fifteen years, friends then thought she was running into Mormonism "which they could not bear"; then she heard of "Mr.Ryan, the prophet" - 26 Jan 1849; with covering note from W.H.Green NOTE: it was the practice of the supporters of Joanna Southcott to copy out their letters for circulation
